Simrenjeet Singh

  • Simrenjeet Singh is the firm’s managing partner.

  • Simren completed his pupilage at Shearn Delamore & Co. in August 2012 and embarked on his career as a Legal Associate with Messrs. Gananathan Loh in October 2012. He has over a decade of hands-on practical experience in civil, commercial and securities litigation.

  • Simren is resourceful and able to synthesize complex issues and complete tasks while adhering to rigid deadlines. He is efficient, well organised and responsive to clients’ needs and requirements.

Tay Por Hai

  • Tay Por Hai is a name partner of the firm.


 

  • Por Hai completed his pupillage with Messrs. Shearn Delamore & Co. and was thereafter admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor in the High Court of Malaya in January 2013. He then embarked on his career as a Legal Associate with Messrs. Shearn Delamore & Co until 2016 when he joined Messrs Valerie Chong & Co. as a partner in conveyancing.


 

  • Por Hai, the Top Student in Malaysia for Cambridge A-Level Law in 2007, is a personable, resourceful and driven person with a passion for conveyancing and litigation,  Por Hai is known for providing out of the box but practical and effective legal solutions. Ng Tat Sun, Nicholas

In addition to his litigation experience, Nicholas has indepth knowledge of estate agency, valuation, and property management having acted as the Legal Officer for the Board of Valuers, Appraisers and Estate Agents Malaysia.

  • Successfully defended against an allegation of conspiracy to destroy the and injure the business of the Plaintiffs.
  • Successfully defended the Main Contractor and obtained a counterclaim for Liquidated Ascertained Damages in a construction dispute involving variation claims by the Sub Contractor.
  • Successfully obtained a non-compliance award at the Industrial Court and subsequently registering the Industrial Court Award to the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court before obtaining a Garnishee Order against the Judgement Debtor/Company.
  • Successfully advised and represented an individual and his wife in a motor-vehicle accident for personal injury damages and special damages amounting close to RM400,000.00.
  • Represented a Malaysian citizen residing in Switzerland to obtain a declaration on the dissolution of marriage ordered by a presiding judge in Zurzach.

Sareniya Thanaseharan

Sara’s core practice areas range from industrial court matters, construction industry dispute resolution to family law. She is also knowledgeable in matters of bankruptcy, winding up proceedings, debt recovery and contractual disputes.

  • Represented both companies and claimants in employment disputes arising from various causes of action i.e., retrenchment, unlawful dismissal and termination due to poor performance in Performance Improvement Plan.
  • Represented sub-contractors and main contractors in civil claims for complex construction related disputes in civil courts and alternative dispute resolution such as arbitration and adjudication.
  • Successful in a claim premised on a breach of novated sub-contract and unjust enrichment in absence of a contractual relationship and opposing counterclaims on premised on back charges for liquidated ascertained damages and special damages.
  • Managed various claims related to debt recovery and enforcement applications such as garnishee applications, bankruptcy applications and also winding up proceedings.
  • Successfully obtained a divorce petition and handles family related disputes such as custody applications for children arising from separation of parents.
